Mixed Game Festival IX

The ninth Cardplayer Lifestyle Mixed Game Festival is returning to Resorts World Las Vegas and will take place from Nov. 3-7 in the middle of NAPT Las Vegas.

Not only that but Cardplayer Lifestyle has partnered with PokerStars to run three co-branded tournaments during the festival, which takes place Nov. 1-10 at Resorts World Las Vegas.

Mixed Things Up at Resorts World

The Mixed Game Festival, which takes place several times a year, is a favorite of serious poker enthusiasts looking for a switch-up from Texas Hold'em. Previous festivals have drawn legendary poker figures including Poker Hall of Famer Eli Elezra and Women in Poker Hall of Famers Linda Johnson and Jan Fisher.

Like previous editions, Mixed Game Festival IX will feature cash games with stakes ranging from $4/$8 up to $20/$40 inside the Resorts World Poker Room.

The three tournaments, meanwhile, will take place in the Resorts World Convention Centre on the second floor with the rest of the NAPT Las Vegas festival. The three events include a $550 H.E.R.O.S. event, a $550 8-Game event and a $5,300 8-Game event.

Two seats will be awarded to the $550 buy-in events throughout the festival, and, as always, there will be plenty of merchandise and prizes to win.

“We're thrilled to be hosting the upcoming NAPT once again this year starting November 1st. And that's not all – we're bringing together two of our favorite events: the NAPT and the Cardplayer Lifestyle's Mixed Game Festival! This is going to be an unforgettable experience. Mark your calendars and join us for an incredible time!” Resorts World Director of Poker Operations Leon Wheeler said in a press release.

“We’re thrilled to once again be working with Cardplayer Lifestyle for this edition of the Mixed Games Festival,” added PokerStars’ Head of Marketing Engagement Communications. “NAPT Las Vegas has been an event we’re all incredibly excited about, and to be able to add this additional element to the schedule and offer poker players of all abilities the chance to play different kinds of poker is great."

Gear Up for NAPT Las Vegas

It will be a busy fall for Resorts World as the luxurious casino gears up for NAPT Las Vegas.

On Oct. 12, the Resorts World Poker Room will host a PokerNewsmeet-up game to promote a $10,000 Gold Pass giveaway on the PokerNewsPodcast and Life Outside Poker podcasts.

There are plenty of other chances to win Gold Passes and several passes have already been awarded.

Throughout the festival, PokerStars will again film a season of The Big Game on Tour.

The festival will culminate with a $5,300 buy-in NAPT Main Event, an increase from the $1,650 price tag for last year's event.

Traditional Rummy usually involves using standard card combinations to form sets & runs, but Rummy Regal adds more layers of complexity that force players to adjust their tactics & exercise critical thought. Wild cards, which can be used to represent any card in a player's hand, are one of the most obvious differences. This feature not only makes it more possible to form melds, but it also makes each round more excitingly unpredictable because players have to be on the lookout for their opponents' moves and possible use of wild cards. Also, in comparison to its conventional counterpart, Rummy Regal frequently has a more organized scoring system. Points in many variations of rummy are determined only by how many cards are still in players' hands at the conclusion of each round. In contrast, Rummy Regal offers a point system that incentivizes players to reach particular milestones or finish particular tasks while playing.
